Learning became a joyful journey as our FS1 and FS2 students explored the theme “Home and My Family” through imaginative play and hands-on experiences. To bring the concept to life, a vibrant “home corner” was set up within the classroom, complete with a bedroom, kitchen, play area, dining room, and drawing room. Children eagerly took on roles, from cooking in the kitchen to hosting pretend family dinners, dis covering the unique purpose of each room. As they played, shared, and laughed together, they not only learned about family life but also developed communication skills, empathy, and a sense of belonging.
Adding to the excitement, FS3 students transformed into tiny chefs during a lively sandwich-making activity. Dressed in aprons and chef hats, they enthusiastically prepared healthy sandwiches, learning not only about nutrition and independence but also about the important role of a chef as a community helper. Through this hands-on experience, they discovered how chefs contribute to our daily lives by preparing meals with care.
Together, these activities nurtured creativity, teamwork, real-world connections, all while making learning meaningful and memorable.
