An insightful Expert Talk on Biodiversity was conducted for Class 6 students under the Central Board of Secondary Education initiative Kaushal Bodh, aligned with the theme Life Forms – Project 2: Biodiversity Register.
The session, marking the first step of the project, focused on nurturing observation skills and deepening students’ understanding of the rich diversity of living organisms.
The talk was led by Dr. Jitendra Gavali, Director of the Community Science Centre, Vadodara, who shared valuable insights into biodiversity and its critical role in maintaining ecological balance. He highlighted the interconnectedness of all life forms and emphasized the importance of conservation, along with the need to maintain a People’s Biodiversity Register.
The session proved to be engaging and thought-provoking, inspiring students to become more aware and responsible towards the environment.
